Privacy Policy

Dr Rosie's Desk is a personal writing and education website run by Rosie, who writes as Drusilla Rose. This page explains what information is involved when you use the site. I try to keep it to a minimum.

Visiting the site

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify may record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time, to run and secure the service. I have not added visitor analytics, advertising or tracking tools to this site, and the site sets no cookies.

Fonts are served from this site, so displaying a page does not contact any other service.

Emailing me

If you email hello@drrosiesdesk.com, I receive your email address and whatever you write. Email is handled through Google Workspace. I use it to reply and keep it only as long as I reasonably need to, then delete it. If you would like correspondence deleted sooner, ask and I will do so where I reasonably can.

The "Report an issue with this question" link in GP Study opens your own email app with the question ID, its version and the page address filled in. It does not include your answers or saved progress, and nothing is sent until you send it.

Please do not send patient-identifying or confidential clinical information. I cannot give personal medical advice.

GP Study and Remember

GP Study does not need an account. Nothing is saved unless you tick "Remember which questions I'd like another look at". When you do, GP Study saves one item in your browser's local storage on your own device, named gpstudy.progress.v1. It holds whether Remember is on and, for each question you answer, a question ID, how many times you have answered it and whether it is worth another look. It does not hold the answers you chose. This information is not sent to me or to any server.

Turning Remember off stops saving but keeps what is already saved, so you can turn it back on later. To delete it, use "Clear saved progress" on the GP Study start page, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Please do not enter patient-identifying information into GP Study.

What I do not do

I do not sell personal information. The site has no accounts, newsletter, advertising or payment processing. If that changes, I will update this page before it does.

The optional "Buy Rosie a coffee" links go to Ko-fi, a separate service. If you choose to support me there, the payment happens on Ko-fi and its payment providers (PayPal or Stripe), under their own terms and privacy policies. This website does not handle payments. As part of a payment, Ko-fi and its payment providers share some details with me, such as your name, email address and any message you leave, and with some payment methods your billing address. Ko-fi explains this in its help pages.
